The key is catching it before the crack gets worse. Hairline cracks won’t usually cause immediate problems, but they can widen over time—especially in high-traffic areas or where there’s movement in the subfloor. Surface stains come out with polishing. Deeper stains may require poulticing or more aggressive treatment.
