Common Questions

Before You Reach Out

Is the consultation actually free?

Yes. On-site consultations within our NYC, NJ, and CT service area are free with no obligation. We come out, inspect the stone, identify the right treatment, and give you a written estimate — that's it.

How soon can you start a project?

For small repairs (chip, scratch, etch), we can often schedule within a week. Larger restorations and commercial jobs typically book 2–3 weeks out. Urgent timelines — pre-event, pre-move-in, post-construction — we'll work to accommodate; mention it on the form and we'll come back with options.

Do you handle commercial properties or only residential?

Both. We restore stone in hotels, museums, retail flagships, co-op lobbies, and offices alongside our residential work in brownstones, townhouses, and apartments. We're fully insured for commercial sites and coordinate with building management and after-hours access as needed.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — fully insured with general liability and workers' comp. We're happy to provide certificates of insurance and any documentation property management requires before the work begins.

Can you tell what kind of stone I have from a photo?

Usually, yes. Marble, granite, limestone, travertine, and slate each have a distinct look — and the type of damage tells us a lot too. Send a few photos with the form and we'll confirm the stone, the likely treatment, and a ballpark before we visit.

Do you do emergency work?

Spills, fresh etches, and recent damage are easier to address before they set. Call the line directly for time-sensitive issues — leaving a voicemail with the address and a brief description helps us route a technician faster.
